David Angus BMan (Marketing), BCom (Acc), BMan (Operations): President

David Angus is a marketing professional with over 14 years of marketing and communications experience. David has held various marketing positions with organisations in Australia, Germany and the UK, specialising in brand management and online marketing. With a strong background in marketing, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis David will utilise his skills and experience to assist The Epilepsy Centre to achieve its objectives. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Management (Marketing) and Bachelor of Management (Operations Management). He is the Chairman of the Board’s Marketing Committee.

Bill Papas

Bill Papas: Treasurer

Managing Director of a residential property development and business services company. Prior to this  he spent 35 years in the banking industry. The first 22 years working for a major bank and the last 13 years in the not – for – profit sector as General Manager / CEO of a credit union. He holds a Diploma in Financial Services and enjoys an active lifestyle playing tennis during the week and cycling regularly on weekends


James Cook: Board Secretary

James Cook has been working for a local electronics manufacturing company for the past decade, spending most of this time as a Test Engineer before his current appointment as a Manufacturing Product Manager. His work has included creating process automation and the coordination of small projects. James and his family have been clients of The Epilepsy Centre for many years, and he hopes to bring the unique experience and perspective of a family living everyday with the effects of epilepsy to The Epilepsy Centre’s Board.


Joseph Frasca MBBS: Board Member

Current Positions:

1.    Senior Consultant Neurologist Department of Neurology Flinders Medical Centre- since 2002
2.    Senior Lecturer -Flinders University
3.    Part time private Neurology practice – 337 South Terrace Adelaide
4.    Clinical Lead in Epilepsy/Neurophysiology – Flinders Medical Centre
5.    Member of Drug and Devices Committee of the Australian Epilepsy Society
6.    Board Member of the SA/NT Epilepsy Association
7.    Member of the Southern Adelaide (SALHN) Ethics Committee

Neurology and Epilepsy Training:
-Basic physician training was at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital SA.
-Advanced Neurology Training was at the Flinders Medical Centre SA
-Subsequent overseas training in New York (New York University Medical Center) and Kentucky (University of Kentucky Medical Center) USA (1991-1994)
Previously held Neurology Consultant positions at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (1998-2002) and the Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania (1994-1998)

My interests are to look after people with difficult to control epilepsy and their associated co morbidities.
I am involved in Trials of new antiepileptic medications.


Letizia Gentile B.Ed (Social Science /Arts) MBA (Uni of SA) Cert IV TAA: Board Member

Letizia has held the role of CEO for over 15 years, in a number of Not for Profit organisations. She has specialized in Strategic Management is Community Focused and excels at Operational Efficiency by:

  • Being a dedicated advocate and masterful negotiator with a rich mix of business development, operations & financial acumen
  • Providing extraordinary results leading and turning around distressed organisations while promoting synergetic teams
  • Developing community relations, creating open and respectful environments and consistently rising to challenges
  • Resolving long-standing problems, improving financial operations and team dynamics to instil best practice.

Frank Cutillo BAcctg: Board Member

Frank Cutillo has successfully operated his own business since 1982, encompassing accounting, financial planning, taxation & real estate services. He is a Qualified Accountant, Financial Planner, Credit Adviser and Real Estate Agent. Frank is a member/fellow in several industry defining associations & holds the position of Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Australia Business Association Inc. (SA). Frank’s personal approach and commitment to his clients complements The Epilepsy Centre values. His focus is to add value to a client’s businesses & relationships with stakeholders, form mutually beneficial win-win relationships & to contribute to the long term success of clients. Frank offers his clients Passion, Commitment & Vision.


James Gaitaneris: Board Member

Jim’s career commenced in the Royal Australian Navy as an Aircraft Ground Engineer – Electrical Systems. After commissioning as an Officer, he specialised as an Air Traffic Controller before transitioning into recruitment as the Senior Naval Recruitment Officer in South Australia and Western Australia. After leaving the Navy in 1998, Jim joined a leading executive recruitment firm in Adelaide specialising in contract and permanent engineering and technical recruitment covering all industry sectors. Jim has worked as both a Consultant and an In-house recruiter.


With over twenty years’ experience in recruitment and a strong focus in the engineering and technical market across, his industry experience covers resources, manufacturing, consumer, professional services, agribusiness, engineering, information technology and education. He has placed many mid to senior level candidates in a large variety of organisations where he enjoys continued relationships, also retaining an in-depth knowledge of the ever-changing employment market.
