The Epilepsy Centre is a professional organisation committed to providing quality, caring services to people living with epilepsy and improving community awareness and attitudes. The Epilepsy Centre has been the leading provider of epilepsy services in South Australia and the Northern Territory since 1976, and are dedicated to providing high quality support, counselling, training, practical assistance and advocacy on behalf of people with epilepsy. We also work continuously to raise awareness of epilepsy in the community to reduce stigma and create a more welcoming and inclusive society.
The Epilepsy Centre receives no government funding and is largely funded from private sources, mainly philanthropic donations. If you would like to help you can donate or you can support our work in a variety of other ways. Please view our Donation, Membership and Volunteer sections for more information. The Epilepsy Centre is a member of Epilepsy Australia, the national coalition of state-based epilepsy associations and the leading consumer-led epilepsy body in Australia. Our hope is that all Australians living with epilepsy, as well as the medical profession, allied health workers, principals, teachers, employers and the wider community will find this website to be an informative and valuable resource in their daily lives.
